The weather in Paris this April was a hot snowy mess, right? We’re just happy May seems to have gotten the memo that it’s spring. Which is why our latest CotM is a bright and bubbly spritz. (Not the now-ubiquitous Aperol Spritz—we LOLOS are a little more unique!) To celebrate this month’s #POWER theme, we’re reaching for something spunkier: the Cynar Spritz at Meriggio.
The city’s newest Italian eatery, cafe and specialty food shop, Meriggio has a tiny bar tucked upstairs featuring Italian vermouth, bitters and spirits. Along with classic sours and house cocktail creations, the menu offers a selection of aperitivos and Spritz varieties.
The Cynar Spritz is a light, low-octane choice—perfect for sunnier days—but it still has some backbone thanks to the addition of Italian artichoke bitters. Powerful doesn’t necessarily mean a punch to the kisser. Partake in the spritz at Meriggio, where you can practice your Italian with the adorable Emanuele behind the bar. As always, LES LOLOS has the exclusive recipe so you can break out the ballon glasses and sip one at home. Either way, enjoy it with the warmer weather. Salute!
