Les vacances! Soon, most of us will escape the city to reach distant lands. To make your packing mission easier, here’s my guide to the 5 essentials every stylish Parisian has in her summer luggage:

#1: A Multipurpose Tunic

Call it a dress, a blouse or a tunic: Something versatile enough to be worn on different occasions like a walk along the beach, exploring a Medieval village in Provence, sipping a Spritz in Portofino.

LES LOLOS tip: Favor natural fabrics such as cotton. Polyester is a good alternative since it doesn’t wrinkle much.

#2: The Shoes

The Parisian girl is active and on average packs three pairs of shoes for her holiday:

• Sneakers: Whether you jog or not, sneakers are absolutely necessary for walking tours, shopping trips or just the chic yet comfortable look
• Flats: Choose from slides, Ancient Greek sandals or thongs/flipflops
• Castaner espadrilles: A summer staple. For a less pricey version, try these
